Volkswagen India has expanded the Polo range in India by adding a new automatic variant. The Polo Comfortline variant now comes with an automatic gearbox option. This variant was earlier offered in a manual avatar only. The 2021 Volkswagen Polo Comfortline TSI Automatic is now available at a price tag of Rs 8.51 lakh (ex-showroom, pan India).
The 2021 Volkswagen Polo Comfortline TSI AT is available in same 5 color options – Flash Red, Sunset Red, Candy White, Carbon Steel and Reflex Silver. The new variant can be booked online at Volkswagen India website or the brand’s authorised dealership.

The Volkswagen Polo Comfortline TSI is powered by a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that produces 108bhp of power and 175Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic. While the manual version is claimed to return 18.24kmpl of mileage, the Comfortline AT will return an ARAI certified fuel economy of 16.47kmpl.
This variant is equipped with features like automatic climate control, 17.7cm Blaupunkt music system, 7-inch capacitive touchscreen, built-in Bluetooth, etc.
Volkswagen Taigun
Volkswagen will launch the Taigun mid-sized SUV in the Indian market in the third quarter of 2021, around July-September. The new model will be based on the locally developed MQB AO IN platform, which also underpins the Skoda Kushaq. The SUV will be offered with two engine options – a 113bhp, 1.0L turbocharged petrol with 6MT & 6AT and a 148bhp, 1.5L turbocharged petrol with 6MT & 7-speed DSG.
