All 4 SUVs are doing great for the domestic automakers, as it maintained a significant lead over Mahindra & Kia Motors India. In fact, Tata is very close to beat Hyundai to grab second position in the list of top car brands in terms of sales. The company is preparing a wide range of new SUVs, which will be launched in our market by 2025.

Tata Motors is preparing to launch electric version of the Punch micro SUV in the country in 2023. The new model will be designed on the heavily modified version of the ALFA architecture, which underpins the ICE version. It is expected to come with Tata’s Ziptron technology that includes a permanent magnet synchronous motor and a battery pack. It is expected to be offered with two battery pack options – 26kWh and 30.2kWh.
Tata Motors is also testing the new Nexon compact SUV, which will receive significant design changes and upgraded cabin. The new model will share the exterior styling cues from the Curvv concept that debuted at the 2023 Auto Expo. Similar to the current model, the new Nexon will be offered with petrol, diesel and electric powertrain options. Moreover, the petrol version will receive a new 1.2L turbo petrol engine that produces 125PS and 225Nm of torque.
Tata has officially announced that the production version of the Curvv SUV Coupe concept in 2024. The new model will retain most of the styling cues from the original concept. It will be offered with a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine. Adding to it, the Curvv will also receive an electric version that is likely to offer a range close to 500kms.
Tata Motors will launch the new Safari and Harrier SUVs in 2024. Both models will receive a new 1.5L turbo petrol engine that produces 170bhp and 280Nm of torque. Moreover, the new SUVs will have ADAS, bigger touchscreen, digital driver display and many more features. Tata will also launch the electrified versions of the Harrier and Safari in 2024-25. The new models are likely to receive a battery pack of around 60-80kWh with a certified range of over 500kms.
The production version of the Sierra lifestyle SUV will be launched in 2025. The new model will be offered with both ICE and electric powertrains. It will be offered with a 5-seater configuration as standard, while the top-spec model will have a four-seater lounge version. It will be based on the GEN 2 hybrid architecture and is likely to be fitted with a 60-80kW battery pack. The lifestyle SUV is expected to receive an AWD setup with two electric motors mounted on front and rear axles. The ICE version is likely to get a 1.5L turbo petrol engine.
