Upcoming New Tata, Mahindra SUVs – Launch Within Months

The home-grown automakers, Tata Motors and Mahindra & Mahindra have planned multiple new models for the Indian market. Talking about the next big launches, Tata will introduce the Harrier facelift with noticeable changes inside and out and Mahindra will roll out its first ever pure electric SUV – XUV400. Here’re some key details of the upcoming new Tata and Mahindra SUVs.

The Tata Harrier facelift, which is currently in its testing phase, is expected to hit roads in the first half of 2023. One of the major updates will come in the form of the ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) that includes adaptive cruise control, collision mitigation system, lane departure warning system, automatic traction control, electronic stability control, hill start aid and more. The SUV might also be offered with a 360 degree camera, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity and a larger infotainment system. On the exterior, the new Harrier will feature a newly-designed grille, LED headlamps with LED DRLs, new alloy wheels and updated rear bumper. Mahindra XUV400 is slated to go on sale in late January 2023. Official bookings for the electric SUV will be commenced in the first week of January. Initially, it will be made available in select 16 cities in the country. The XUV400 has a 39.5kWh battery pack with an electric motor delivering a combined power of 148bhp and 310Nm of torque. The electric SUV is claimed to offer a range of 456km as per Indian driving cycle – MIDC on a full charge. It’s capable to do 0 to 100kmph in 8.6 seconds and deliver a maximum speed of 150kmph.
