Upcoming Mahindra XUV.e9 Electric SUV – New Details Out

Mahindra & Mahindra’s ambitious plan to introduce a series of new electric SUVs starting in 2024 is no secret. These new electric vehicles, built on the innovative INGLO platform, have been strategically classified into two sub-brands – XUV.e and BE. Paving the way for this plan is the imminent arrival of the Mahindra XUV.e8, an electrified rendition of the acclaimed XUV700 SUV, set to grace the roads by the end of this year. Following in its electric footsteps is the eagerly anticipated production-ready Mahindra XUV.e9.

Having caught glimpses of one of its test mules overseas last year, offering a sneak peek into its design and interior intricacies, the Mahindra XUV.e9 has now solidified its presence with the filing of a design patent, signaling its scheduled debut in 2025. The final version is set to closely adhere to its conceptual roots. At the forefront, the model will feature a closed-off grille adorned with a full-width LED band and bumper-mounted headlamps.

While the concept had halogen headlights, the production version might come with LED units. The design will feature a raked roofline that converges towards the rear, culminating in a large rear spoiler. Elements such as flush door handles, taillights with an LED light bar, and a gloss-black cladding will show a transition from concept to reality.
