The Indian automobile industry will witness several new changes and new product launches this year. In fact, several exciting models are ready to hit roads in the first half of 2022. Here’re key details of the upcoming new Hyundai, Kia and MG cars, which are scheduled to see a release in H1, 2022.
New-Gen Hyundai Tucson
The all-new Hyundai Tucson will feature the brand’s new ‘Sensuous Sportiness’ design language and receive significant updates inside and out. Some of its key styling changes include a new parametric front grille, revised LED headlamps, updated bumpers, quad taillamps connected via a LED bar and a faux skid plate. Inside, there is a dual-screen infotainment system with latest smartphone connectivity and two-device Bluetooth connectivity. The new 2022 Hyundai Tucson will continue to come with the existing 2.0L turbo petrol and diesel engines.
Kia Carens
Kia’s upcoming 6/7-seater SUV – Carens – is ready to hit showrooms in the next couple of months. It will be offered in 5 trims – Premium, Prestige, Prestige Plus, Luxury and Luxury Plus. The model can be had with three engines – 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol, 1.4L turbo petrol and 1.5L diesel. The Kia Carens has been packed with several comfort goodies and advanced connectivity features. It’s the first vehicle in its segment to offer one-touch tumble down features for the middle row passengers. The Carens also sits on the longest wheelbase in its category.
Updated MG ZS EV
Reports suggest that the new 2022 MG ZS EV facelift will be launched in the month of February. The electric SUV will come with the bigger capacity battery and offer longer range. The new model will feature a new 51kWh battery and deliver a range close to 480km. A few changes will also be made to its exterior. The new ZS EV might borrow the 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Level 2 autonomous ADAS and AI assistant from the Astor SUV. The electric ZS could also be offered with new colour schemes and trims.
