TVS Zeppelin Headlamp Design Revealed; Launch On 6th July 2022

TVS Motor Company is all set to launch a new motorcycle on 6th July 2022. Official details of the upcoming model will be revealed on the same day. If reports are to be believed, it could be the production-ready version of the TVS Zeppelin cruiser concept that made its debut at the 2020 Auto Expo. Ahead of its market launch, a freshly leaked image shows final design of its circular headlamp featuring a ‘T’ shaped pattern at the centre. Just so you know, the Zeppelin concept carries a sporty, vertically-oriented LED headlamp.

The bikemaker claimed that the TVS Zeppelin offers aggressive yet comfortable riding position with a two-piece seat and a feet-forward stance. The cruiser sits on a 1,490mm long wheelbase and has a kerb weight of 168kg. It has been equipped with tubeless Pirelli tyres sized 110/70 R17 and 140/70 R15 at the front and rear respectively. Braking power comes from a 300mm front disc and a 240mm rear disc with dual-channel ABS.

Interestingly, the Zeppelin concept features a belt drive function for ensuring quiet and low-maintenance running. If this feature will be carried forward from the concept, it will become the first locally developed and affordable cruiser to offer it. The bike’s concept was also equipped with an infotainment unit with cloud connectivity, an HD action camera and a smart access key (Bio-key).

The TVS Zeppelin concept was powered by a new 220cc, single-cylinder engine paired to a 5-speed gearbox. The motor pushes out a peak power of 20bhp at 8,500rpm and 18.5Nm of torque at 7,000rpm. The bike also features a patented ISG (Integrated Starter Generator) system and an e-boost function. The latter one includes a 1,200W regenerative assist motor deriving power from a 48V Li-ion battery. It offers a claimed top speed of 130kmph.

For official details of the new TVS bike will be revealed in the second week of July 2022. Stay tuned to IndiaCarNews.
