TVS Motor Company has rolled out a new premium variant of its flagship NTorq 125 scooter. Called the TVS NTorq 125 Race XP, the new model has been priced at Rs 83,275 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Compared to the entry-level Drum variant, the new Race XP is around Rs 12,180 more expensive. The company says that the new variant “comes armed with the highest power in the segment, first-in-segment dual ride modes, delivering higher top speed and superior acceleration”. – One of the biggest changes has been made to its engine. The new TVS NTorq Race XP derives power from the same 124.8cc, single-cylinder engine, which is now tuned for producing power worth 10.06bhp at 7,000rpm and 10.5Nm of torque at 5,500rpm.

– In order to enhance its power delivery, the two-wheeler maker has updated the gas flow dynamics and combustion processes of the motor. It’s the first scooter in its segment to offer power over 10bhp.
– Furthermore, the new TVS NTorq 125 Race XP receives two riding modes – Street and Race. In Race mode, it can attain a top speed of 98kmph.
– The TVS NTorq Race XP gets a new tri-tone colour scheme along with the red alloy wheels and revised body graphics.
– The scooter’s SmartXonnect Bluetooth connectivity platform has also been updated with the voice assist feature. It enables user to control multiple functions of the vehicle when connected via the TVS Connect App including navigation, changing riding mode, console brightness adjustment and more.
– All aforementioned functions can be operated via 15 voice commands. The TVS NTorq Race XP is the only ICE scooter to come with voice command functionality in the country.
– The company has updated the user interface of the TVS Connect App. Now, it offers different live dashboard options depending on the selected riding mode. The ‘bike overview’ section also gets a graphical representation of performance parameters.
