TVS Motor Company has launched the 2020 TVS Jupiter ZX Disc variant, which is claimed to be equipped with an upgraded electric start technology ‘i-TOUCHstart’. The Jupiter ZX Disc with the new electric start system is available at a price tag of Rs 69,052 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The new TVS Jupiter ZX Disc is available in 3 colour options – Matte Starlight Blue, Starlight Blue and Royal Wine. The company claims that the ‘i-TOUCHstart’ is an upgraded electric start technology that provides a silent and instant start minus the cranking noise. Adding to it, the new ‘i-TOUCHstart’ technology is claimed to improve battery life and provides a maintenance-free system.
The TVS Jupiter ZX also gets an all-in-one lock to operate the ignition, steering lock, seat lock and fuel tank cap with a single keyhole. This enables the rider to access all functions with ease. Disc brake also added to the scooter for rider safety. The company claims that this variant is launched in line with TVS Motor Company’s aim to provide best-in-class features to Indian customers.
The TVS Jupiter ZX comes with Ecothrust Fuel injection (ET-Fi) technology and i-TOUCHstart with an integrated starter generation system. The combined technology claims to offer 15% better fuel efficiency, better startability, refinement along with durability.
The Jupiter ZX scooter comes equipped with features such as LED headlamp, 2-litre glove box, mobile charger and 21-litre storage. The scooter also gets adjustable shock absorbers, which should improve the riding comfort. Powering the scooter is 110cc engine that produces 8bhp at 7,500rpm and 8Nm of torque at 5,500rpm.
