Triumph Tiger Sport 660 India Launch Price Rs 8.95 Lakh

Triumph Motorcycles has launched the new Tiger Sport 660 in the Indian market. The new Triumph Tiger Sport 660 is available at an introductory price of Rs 8.95 lakh (ex-showroom, Pan India), making it Rs 1.50 lakh pricier than the Trident 660 naked roadster.

The Triumph Tiger Sport 660 is an adventure sports tourer, which comes with few additions over the Trident. It features a slender front fairing and height adjustable windscreen, which ensures better wind protection. The motorcycle features the steel perimeter frame; however, it gets a longer subframe to support luggage and offer more seating space.

The motorcycle comes with an integrated pannier mounts as standard; however Luggage is offered as an optional extra. It features a 41mm separate function fork at the front and a monoshock with remote hydraulic preload adjustment at the rear. It comes with a bigger travel – 150mm at both ends (Trident Gets 120mm front and 134mm rear travel). The motorcycle offers a large fuel tank of 17.2-litres, which is 3.2-litres more than that of Trident’s.

Triumph said that the Tiger Sport 660 rake angle has been sharpened to improve sharper handling despite 17kg rise in overall weight compared to the Trident. The motorcycle has a ground clearance of 162mm, which reduces its off-road capabilities. The motorcycle features Michelin Road 5 tyres, which is perfect for sport touring purposes.

The motorcycle is powered by the same 660cc inline-triple motor engine that powers the Trident. It produces 81bhp of power and 64Nm of torque. The motorcycle offers two selectable ride modes, ABS and switchable traction control. In terms of features, the bike gets LED headlamps, self-cancelling LED indicators, white-on-black LCD display, adjustable levers and others.
