2023 Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 – What We Know So Far

Royal Enfield has planned several new products for the next couple of years. Recently, a test mule of the new RE Himalayan 450cc motorcycle was caught on camera during its test rounds in the country. While there is no official word on its launch timeline, the bike is reported to arrive in the first quarter of 2023. To be positioned as a premium adventure bike, the new 2023 Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 will share some of its design elements and components with the Himalayan 411. Though, the former is likely to underpin a new platform and weigh lighter. Check Out – All-New Royal Enfield Bullet 350 Revealed In 1st Spy Images

The spy images reveal that the new Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 carries the same circular headlamp, raised front fender, round rear view mirrors and spoke wheels with tubeless tyres. Similar to the existing Himalayan, the new model is expected to feature 21-inch front and 17-inch rear tyres. In fact, its riding ergonomics will be similar to the Himalayan 411.

Design bits such as wide handlebar, thick saddle, centrally positioned footpegs and upswept exhaust with metallic finish will also be carried forward from the RE Himalayan 411. What will distinguish the new Himalayan 450 will be the small windscreen, differently designed fuel tank and single piece seat. The bike might come with a new digital instrument console.

For power, the new 2023 Royal Enfield Himalayan 450cc bike will use the 450cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine delivering power close to 40bhp. Its torque figure is yet to be revealed. The existing model comes with a 411cc engine that’s good enough for 24.3bhp and 32Nm. Transmission duties are done by a 5-speed manual gearbox.

As mentioned above, the new Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 will share most of its components with the Himalayan 411. It will come equipped with the front travel suspension and have high ground clearance. Prices of the new Royal Enfield bike are expected to start from Rs 2.7 lakh (ex-showroom).
