Toyota Urban Cruiser Deliveries Begin In India

Deliveries of the newly-launched Toyota Urban Cruiser compact SUV have been commenced across the nation. The model was launched in the last week of September, 2020. The small SUV comes in three variants – Mid, High and Premium – powered by a 105bhp, 1.5L, 4-cylinder naturally aspirated engine. It’s the same motor that does duty in the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza.

Power is delivered to front wheels via either a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox. While the manual version promises fuel economy of 17.03kmpl, the automatic variant with mild hybrid system returns 18.76kmpl.

The Urban Cruiser manual Mid, High and Premium variants are priced at Rs 8.40 lakh, Rs 9.15 lakh and Rs 9.80 lakh. The entry-level automatic model costs Rs 9.80 lakh and the mid-spec High and fully-loaded Premium trims are available at Rs 10.65 lakh and Rs 11.30 lakh respectively. The new Toyota compact SUV comes with a new Brown paint scheme along with Sunny White, Spunky Blue, Suave Silver, Iconic Grey, Rustic Brown and Groovy Orange shades. The dual-tone colours are exclusively offered with the top-end Premium trim. While the Brown and Blue colours come with a contrast black roof and Orange is paired with a White roof.

The front fascia of the Toyota Urban Cruiser looks slightly different than the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, thanks to its twin-slate grille and Toyota’s signature badge. The side and rear profiles are exactly similar to its Maruti Suzuki’s counterpart.

The list of standard features include LED projector headlamps, LED DRLs, 16-inch steel wheels, LED taillamps, 2-DIN audio system with Bluetooth connectivity, keyless entry and go, steering mounted audio controls and auto climate control. Fitments such as LED fog lamps, 16-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, auto dimming inside rear view mirror and rain sensing wipers are reserved for the top-end Premium variant.
