- Toyota offers the new Innova Hycross with two engine options – 2.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol and 2.0-litre petrol with a self-charging strong-hybrid system, making it the first car in its class to get such a powertrain option.
- Tata Safari only comes with a 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine that can be had with either a manual or a Hyundai-sourced torque converter automatic transmission.
- Only the Mahindra XUV700 is offered with both petrol and diesel engines.
- Mahindra’s XUV700 petrol engine offers the most power and is available with both manual and automatic transmissions. On the other hand, its diesel engine comes in two states of tune: 155PS/360Nm and 185PS/up to 450Nm. It is also the only three-row offering here that can be had in an all-wheel-drivetrain (AWD) combination as well.
