The all-new Toyota Innova HyCross is ready to have its world premiere in November 2022. The MPV will be unveiled in Indonesia as Innova Zenix and its India debut might happen at the Delhi Auto Expo in the month of January. It’s expected to go on sale in India by mid 2022. Recently, a prototype of the Innova hybrid was caught testing on camera revealing its interior details. The MPV has an all-new floating touchscreen infotainment system that looks different from the Hyryder SUV. It has a small quarter glass on the A-pillar and beige roof liner.
While its official features and specifications are yet to be revealed, the Innova HyCross is likely to come with a fully digital instrument cluster and electronic parking brake. Though, the aforementioned features could be reserved for the higher variants. It might also be equipped with a 360 degree camera, wireless phone charging, and an electric sunroof. If it happens, the Toyota Innova HyCross will become the brand’s first vehicle to offer sunroof in India. The middle row seat might have an “ottoman function” for the captain chairs.

Unlike the existing Toyota Innova Cyrsta, the Innova HyCross will be based on the lighter and more advanced monocoque architecture. Some of its design elements will be inspired by the global-spec Toyota Avanza and Corolla Cross. While its front fascia will share resemblance to the Innova Crysta, it will feature horizontally placed taillamps with LED brake lights and halogen turn signals. The hybrid MPV will measure around 4.7 metres in length and have a 2,850mm long wheelbase. That means, it will be slightly longer and more spacious than the existing Innova Crysta.
Powertrain setup of the Toyota Innova HyCross will include a 2.0L petrol engine with the heavily localized hybrid system. This will help the automaker achieve aggressive pricing. Ditching the RWD setup, the hybrid Innova will offer the FWD (front-wheel drive) system.
