Toyota Innova 2021 Model Launch In November, Bookings Open – Report

A new media report claims that Toyota dealers have started taking pre-orders for the long-awaited Toyota Innova 2021 facelift. The report further claims that the deliveries for the Crysta facelift could begin in the second half of November 2020.

It is expected that the on-road prices of the Innova facelift could increase by Rs 60,000 to Rs 1 lakh. The updated model has recently been launched in Indonesia. The new model has also been awarded with 5 stars in the ASEAN NCAP crash tests.

In terms of styling, the Toyota Innova 2021 facelift gets all-new front fascia with a larger grille with 5 horizontal slats in the grille and chrome outline. The MPV’s bumper has been completely revised, featuring vertical black housing for the fog lamps and turn signals. There is a blacked-out chin section with a faux silver skid-plate and restyled projector headlamps. Except for the new dual-tone 16-inch alloys, the new 2021 Innova facelift looks largely identical to the previour model. At the back, the MPV gets wrap-around LED tail-lamps and new rear license garnish.

Inside the cabin, the Toyota Innova 2021 facelift gets new instrument console, all-black interior scheme and a six-seat layout. The six-seater model gets captain chairs for the second-row, while the 7-seater will have bench-type seats for second row. The top-spoec model also gets a new 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It gets an integrated air purifier, black color captain seats with features like seat table and a rear passenger entertainment, and new upholstery.

In our market, The MPV is available with two BS6-compliant engines – a 2.4-litre diesel and a 2.7-litres petrol. The petrol engine is capable of producing 164bhp of power and a peak torque of 245Nm. On the other hand, the oil burner is good for 148bhp and 343Nm of torque. Transmission options are likely to include a 5-speed manual with RWD (standard) and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic (Optional).
