Toyota Kirloskar Motor has rolled out the CNG version of the Glanza hatchback in the country. The Toyota Glanza CNG has been offered in two variants – S and G – which are priced at Rs 8.43 lakh and Rs 9.46 lakh (ex-showroom). These are around Rs 95,000 more expensive than their petrol counterparts that cost Rs 7.48 lakh and Rs 8.51 lakh respectively. Interested buyers can book the model by paying a sum of Rs 11,000. The Glanza CNG is the first Toyota car in India to come with the factory-fitted CNG kit.
For power, the Toyota Glanza CNG uses the same 1.2L, 4-cylinder petrol engine with a CNG kit. In CNG mode, the setup offers a peak power of 77bhp and 98.5Nm of torque. The regular petrol motor promises power worth 90bhp and 113Nm of torque. Toyota says that the hatchback’s CNG version delivers a fuel efficiency of 30.61km/kg. It has a CNG tank with capacity of 55-litres. What further differentiate it from the regular petrol model is the ‘CNG’ badge on the tailgate.
The Toyota Glanza CNG offers all goodies available on the regular petrol S and G variants. The S variant comes with a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, steering mounted audio and phone controls, 4 speakers audio system, power adjustable and foldable wing mirrors, hill start assist, electronic stability program, parcel shelf for the boot, blacked-out pillars, body-coloured wing mirrors and door handles and wing mirror mounted turn indicators.

Features such as a touchscreen with SmartPlay Cast Pro remote control app, ‘Hey Toyota’ voice commands, a 4.2-inch colour TFT, tilt and telescopic steering adjust, keyless entry and start, rear parking camera, 6 airbags, driver seat height adjust, rear air conditioning vents, front armrest, adjustable rear headrests, USB charging port for rear passengers, automatic headlamps, LED projector headlamps, alloy wheels rear windscreen wiper and washer are available on the G trim.
