Czech automaker, Skoda has increased the prices of its two popular cars – the Slavia sedan and the Kushaq SUV. The company said that the reason behind price hike is the rising input costs. This is 3rd hike for Kushaq and 2nd hike for Slavia sedan since January 2022. Prices for Slavia sedan have been increased from Rs 1,000 to Rs 40,000, while the Kushaq gets expensive by up to Rs 60,000.

The new Skoda Slavia sedan is now available in the price bracket of Rs 11.29 lakh to Rs 18.40 lakh. While the base Active 1.0 MT gets expensive by Rs 30,000, the top-spec Style DSG 1.5 price increased by 1,000. The sedan was earlier priced in the range of Rs 10.99 lakh to Rs 18.39 lakh.
The Ambition MT variant is now priced at Rs 12.99 lakh, which gets expensive by 30,000. The Style MT variant gets pricier by Rs 31,000 and the Ambition AT now costlier by Rs 40,000. The Style AT and Style MT 1.5 variants are now costlier by Rs 11,000 and Rs 21,000 respectively.

The Skoda Kushaq MT version is now available in the price bracket of Rs 11.59 lakh to Rs 18.49 lakh, while the automatic range now cost Rs 14.69 lakh for base model and Rs 19.69 lakh for top-end variant. The Active MT base variant is now pricier by Rs 30,000, while the Ambition MT now costlier by Rs 20,000. Prices for Kushaq’s Style manual trim is now costlier by up to Rs 60,000.
The Kushaq 1.0 automatic variants are now costlier by up to Rs 40,000. The Style DSG with 6 airbags is now expensive by Rs 20,000.
Slavia & Kushaq Engine Options
The Slavia & the Kushaq are available with two engine options – a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder TSI petrol and a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder TSI. While the former is good for 115bhp and 175Nm, the later produces 150bhp and 250Nm of torque. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed torque convertor automatic with 1.0L & a 7-speed DSG automatic with 1.5L.
