Japanese automaker, Toyota has introduced four new GR Sport models and one GR model including Rush GR Sport, Fortuner GR Sport, Agya GR Sport, Yaris GR Sport and Veloz GR Limited – in the Indonesian market. The company is currently selling 7 GR models in Indonesia.
The company claims that the new GR range comes on the back of the success of GR Supra, Raize GR Sport and the rising popularity of the GR Yaris. Here, we are talking about the Toyota Fortuner GR Sport. This model comes equipped with multiple exterior and interior changes to keep things fresh in the market.
The Toyota Fortuner GR Sport comes equipped with a new adaptable dual-zone automatic air conditioning system. The company is also offering the Veloz GR Limited edition MPV in India. The brand’s entry-level cars including the Yaris and the Agya also gets Toyota Gazoo Racing’s treatment.
In terms of styling, the Toyota Fortuner GR Sport comes with a dark chromed front grille with LED headlamps, and spoilers for the front and rear bumpers, and LED fog lamps. The 7-seater SUV also has newly designed dual-tone alloy wheels, powered tailgate with kick sensor, new side stickers and new GR grade emblem.
Inside the cabin, the Fortuner GR Sport gets black interior scheme and leatherette seats. The SUV features a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, multiple drive modes, electrically adjustable front seats, rear-seat entertainment with illumination, surround-view monitor, electro-chromic IRVM (Internal Rear View Mirror), new wireless charger, blind spot monitoring, lane departure warning and others.
The SUV is powered by a 2.7-litre turbocharged petrol engine that churns out a maximum power output of 163PS and 242Nm of torque. It is paired to an automatic gearbox. The diesel version is powered by a 2.4-litre engine that is good for 149.6PS and 400Nm of torque, and is paired to an automatic gearbox.
