Toyota India has introduced two new top-of-the line variants of its flagship hatchback Etios Liva. Named as the VD & VD SP, Only diesel version of the hatch has received these the new variants. Here SP stands for Safety features. The former costs Rs. 6.72 lakh, while the VD SP model is priced at Rs. 7.12 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Inside the cabin, the Toyota Etios Liva hatchback now features receive some noticeable changes and additions. Both the models are being offered with tachometer, rear defogger, AUX-In & Bluetooth enabled audio system and a wood finish on door handles. The VD SP variant also gets some safety features such as dual front airbags, Anti-Lock braking system (ABS) with Electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD) and others. This model also gets leather wrapped steering wheel.
The new models now features a double chrome grille, wind mirrors with integrated turn indicators and 12-spoke alloy wheels. Mechanically, both the variants retains same with 1.4-litre D-4D engine that churns out 67bhp and 170Nm of top torque. Power is transmitted to front wheels via a five-speed manual transmission.
