Despite non availability of diesel, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza retains the top-spot in the list of top selling SUVs in the Indian market. Tata Nexon also received an overwhelming response from buyers. In this article, we bring you a list of top selling SUVs in the Indian market in the month of August 2021.
– Maruti Suzuki sold 12,906 units of the Vitara Brezza in the month of August 2021 as against 6,903 units in the same month last year. It recorded a year-on-year growth of 87 per cent.
– The Brezza overtakes the Hyundai Creta to retain the top spot in the list of top-selling SUVs. Hyundai sold 12,597 units of the Creta in August 2021 as against 11,758 units during the corresponding period in 2020. It recorded a Year-on-Year sales growth of 7 percent.

– Tata Nexon compact SUV received a massive year-on-year growth of 93 per cent. The company sold 10,006 units in Augist 2021 as against 5,179 units in the same month last year. Tata Motors will further aim to improve sales with the introduction of the Punch micro SUV, which will be positioned below the Nexon. It will rival the Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger, Maruti Ignis and others.
– Kia Motors sold 8,619 units of the Seltos mid-sized SUV in August 2021, recording a year-on-year decline of 19 percent. The company sold 10,655 units of the Seltos in the month of August 2020.
– Hyundai sold 8,619 units of the Venue compact SUV in August 2021, while Kia sold 7,752 units in the same month.
– The Mahindra XUV300 sub-4 meter SUV recorded a year-on-year growth of 96 percent in August 2021. The company sold 5,861 units last year as against 2,990 during the corresponding month in 2020.
– Mahindra sold 3,493 units of the Thar lifestyle SUV in the month of August 2021, while Hyundai sold 3,468 units of the Alcazar.
