Top 4 New Car Launches By March 2023 – All Key Details

The first quarter of 2023 will witness four new car launches across segments including an electric hatchback. Mahindra & Mahindra will bring in its first all-electric XUV400 SUV, while Maruti Suzuki will introduce its urban crossover Fronx. Toyota Hyryder model lineup will be expanded with addition of the CNG variants and Citroen will launch its first mass-market electric hatchback – e-C3. Mahindra XUV400

The Mahindra XUV400 electric SUV prices will be announced in coming weeks. Though, its deliveries are likely to start in February or March 2023. The model lineup will be offered in Base, EP and EL trims and all of three will use a 39.5kWh battery pack. The combined power and torque outputs stand at 148bhp and 310Nm respectively. Mahindra claims that the XUV400 offers a range of 456km on a single charge. It can accelerate 0 to 100kmph in 8.3 seconds, thus making it fastest EV in its segment. Toyota Hyryder CNG

Toyota Hyryder CNG version will go on sale in coming weeks. Its bookings have already been commenced across the country. Similar to Maruti Suzuki’s Grand Vitara, the Hyryder CNG will come with the 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol engine. In CNG mode, it offers a peak power of 88bhp and 121.5Nm of torque. Transmission duties will be done by a 5-speed manual gearbox. It will promise a mileage of around 26.10km/kg. The factory-fitted CNG kit will be offered on the mid-spec S and G trims only. Maruti Fronx

Maruti Fronx SUV

Bookings of the new Maruti urban crossover have been commenced in India. Called the Maruti Fronx, the model will come in Sigma, Delta, Delta+, Zeta and Alpha trims. It can be had with either a new 1.0L Boosterjet with SHVS (100PS/148Nm) or a 1.2L Dualjet petrol (90PS/113Nm). While the former makes a peak power of 100PS with 148Nm, the latter delivers 90PS with 113Nm. The crossover will be offered with three gearbox options – a 5-speed manual, a 6-speed torque convertor automatic and AMT. The Fronx has been packed with lots of comfort goodies. More details here…

Citroen e-C3

Citroen eC3 Teaser

Citroen e-C3 will be an answer to the new Tata Tiago EV from the French automaker in India. It’s likle to hit showrooms by March 2023. While its specifications are yet to be revealed, it’s likely to come with a 30.2kWh battery pack and an 86bhp, electric motor. The electric hatchback will support both the standard AC charger and CCS2 fast charging. It’s expected to deliver a range of around 350km on a full charge.
