Car manufacturers in India have released sales number for the month of February 2022. Maruti maintains the lead and has 7 cars in the list of top 10 selling cars in the country. Tata Nexon becomes the best-selling SUV of the country, while Hyundai Venue and Creta are the other two SUVs in the list of top 10 selling cars.
– Maruti Suzuki Swift becomes the number 1 selling car in the month of February 2022. The company sold 19,202 units as against 20,264 units in the same month last year, recording a YOY sales decline of 5.24 percent.

– Maruti Dzire stands at 2nd position with 17,438 units sold last month, recording a YOY growth of 46.52 percent. The company sold 11,901 units in the February 2021.
– Maruti Wagon R and Baleno secured 3rd and 4th position in the list of top 10 selling cars in February 2022. Maruti sold 18,728 units of WagonR in February, reporting a negative growth of 21.67%. On the other hand, Maruti Baleno reported a massive decline of 37.36 percent in February 2022 sales. The company sold 12,570 units of Baleno as against 20,070 units in the same month last years.
– Tata Nexon maintains the lead in the SUV segment, beating the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Venue and the Maruti Brezza. It is currently the 5th best-selling model in the country in February 2022. The company sold 12,259 units in the month of February 2022 as against 7929 units in the same month last year. It reported a massive YOY sales growth of 54.60 percent.
– Maruti’e Ertiga is at 6th position with 11,649 unit sold in February 2022, reporting a YOY sales growth of 19.18 percent. Maruti’s smallest hatchback, Alto dropped to 7th position with total sales of 11,551 units. It reported a massive YOY sales decline of 31.72 percent. Maruti had sold 16,919 Alto’s in February 2021.
– Hyundai Venue, Maruti Celerio and the Creta stands at 8th, 9th and 10th position respectively. Hyundai Sold 10,212 units of Venue, reporting a YOY sales decline of 9.01 percent. Maruti Celerio reported a YOY sales growth of 59.25% with 9,896 units sold in February 2022. Hyundai sold 9,606 units of Creta last month, recording a negative growth of 22.70%.
