This DC2 Modified Mahindra Thar Hulk Looks Butch

DC2 has recently modified a Mahindra Thar, which is called the new Thar Hulk. The company has released multiple teasers and images of the SUV on its social media platforms. In fact, the modified SUV has been spotted on the road as well.

The DC2 Mahindra Thar Hulk comes with significant changes, and it looks significantly different from the original model. The SUV looks rugged and offers an imposing road presence. The SUV has massive fenders and re-sculpted wheel arches, which gives it a muscular look.

The front design is completely revised, as it gets new triple LED headlamp setup and an all-new front grille. The regular Thar has 6-slat grille, while the Thar Hulk comes with 8-slat grille. It gets a massive front bumper, while the turn indicators look simple and sits below the headlamp unit. The customiser has also added 4 LED lights on the roof.

The SUV’s side profile also received significant changes, as it gets massive wheel arches and electronically retractable side steps. The SUV rides on chromed wheels shod with wider and taller tyres. The DC2 Thar Hulk is finished in white colour, while the bumpers, cladding and roof are finished in black.

The rear profile has also been re-designed, as it gets massive tailgate mounted spare wheel. DC2 badging can be seen on the tailgate, while the tail-lights are placed on the lower bumper finished in black.

The interiors of the DC2 Mahindra Thar Hulk has also been upgraded. It comes with dual-tone red and black interior scheme with leather upholstery. The dashboard, seats and door panels are finished in bright red. The central console comes with piano black finish, while the stock seats are replaced by sporty bucket seats. DC2 has also added armrests with cupholders.

DC hasn’t made any changes to the mechanics of the SUV. The Thar is offered with two engine options – a 2.2L turbo diesel and a 2.0L turbo petrol. While the former is good for 130bhp and 300Nm, the later produces 150bhp and 300Nm of torque. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic.
