Tata Motors has dropped yet another teaser video of the upcoming Red Dark Edition of the Nexon, Harrier and Safari SUVs. The teaser reveals silhouette of all three models; however their design details are yet to be revealed. Just so you know, the Tata Harrier and Safari Red Dark Editions were showcased at the 2023 Auto Expo. Both models get sporty design elements inside and out over the regular versions. The Tata Nexon Red Dark Editions is likely to receive similar updates.
The special edition of the Nexon will feature ‘Dark’ badges on the front fenders. The red brake calipers and front grille with red insert will further enhance its sporty appearance. Similar to the Harrier and Safari Red Dark Editions, the Nexon Red Dark Edition could be painted in ‘Oberon Black’ colour scheme. What will differentiate its interior will be sporty red upholstery and Carnelian Red interior theme with lots of red accents here and there.
On the feature front, the new Tata Nexon Red Dark Edition will offer a 7-inch digital driver’s display, red ambient lighting, leather-wrapped gearshift knob and steering wheel, iRA connectivity suite, cruise control, height adjustable driver seat, rear power outlet, rear wash/wipe, 60:40 split folding rear seats, auto AC, push button start, a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, voice alerts and commands, rear camera with dynamic guidelines, rear AC vents and more.
Engine-gearbox combinations are likely to be carried forward from the standard model. The latter comes with the 1.2L turbo petrol and 1.5L turbo diesel engines making power worth 120PS with 170Nm and 110PS with 260Nm respectively. The special edition can be had with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed AMT gearbox.
The Tata Nexon Red Dark Edition prices will surely be higher than their standard counterparts. Currently, the SUV’s Dark Editions are available within the price range of Rs 10.80 lakh – Rs 14.30 lakh (ex-showroom).
