Toyota Corolla Cross
Toyota Kirloskar Motor is reported to evaluate a 7-seater SUV based on the Corolla Cross that’s sold in global markets. The model will underpin the TNGA-C platform that’s already used in the Innova Hycross. The new Toyota SUV will have new rear doors and sliding rear seats. While most of its design elements will be similar to the Corolla Cross, it will feature a newly-designed front grille, headlamps and bumper. Maruti 7-Seater SUV
Maruti Suzuki’s new 7-seater SUV will be re-badged version of the Toyota Innova Hycross. It will be designed on the Global C platform and come with the 1.5L K15C petrol mild hybrid and 1.5L Atkinson cycle powertrains. While the former makes 103bhp with a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic gearbox, the latter offers 115bhp with an e-CVT gearbox. Renault & Nissan 7-Seater SUV
Renault & Nissan recently confirmed its plan to launch 6 new models in India including 2 EVs. The range will also include a new 7-seater SUV that will be positioned against the Mahindra XUV700. It will essentially be the three-row version of the third-generation Renault Duster. The SUV will be built on the CMF-B modular platform and its design will be inspired by the Dacia Bigster concept.
