Tata Harrier Red Black Edition – 6 New Features, Design Changes

The new Tata Harrier and Safari Red and Black Editions were recently showcased at the Auto Expo 2023. Both models received cosmetic enhancements over the regular versions along with several new features. While the carmaker hasn’t yet revealed their exact launch date, but confirmed that the special editions will go on sale in 2023. Talking about the Tata Harrier Red Black Edition, the model has been painted in ‘Oberon Black’ colour and features front grille with subtle red insert, 18-inch alloy wheels with red brake calipers.

Interior of the new Tata Harrier Red Black Edition has ‘Carnelian’ red seat upholstery with a quilted pattern. The dashboard has grey trim and steering wheel comes with piano black inserts. The red leatherette grab handles add more to its sporty appeal. The Harrier Red Black Edition has marked debut of Tata’s ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) tech that includes safety features such as autonomous emergency braking, lane assist, traffic sign recognition and forward collision alert.

The SUV’s special edition has also been packed with a larger and updated 10.25-inch infotainment system. The digital instrument cluster unit is also a new unit. Features such as a 360 degree camera, adjustable driver’s seat with memory functions and ambient lighting are also on offer. All aforementioned features have also been offered on the new Tata Safari Red Black Edition. The Tata Safari Red Black Edition also offers powered front passenger seat with ‘Boss’ mode and a ventilation function for the middle row.

For power, the new Tata Harrier Red Black and Safari Red Black Editions use the same 2.0L turbo diesel engine. The motor produces a maximum power of 168bhp and 350Nm of torque. It can be had with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox.

The home-grown automaker has also showcased the new Harrier EV concept at the biennial automotive event. Based on Tata’s Gen 2 platform, the electric SUV will hit roads sometime next year.
