Tata Nexon, Maruti Brezza and Hyundai Creta are ruling the sales chart from the past several months. Despite the high-demand, India’s top-selling SUV – Tata Nexon – commands a waiting period of up to 7 weeks. While the manual variants of the subcompact SUV are being promised to be delivered within 3-4 weeks, the automatic variants can be had after a wait of 5 to 7 weeks. The waiting period on the new Maruti Brezza currently stretches up to 9 months in select cities. Some of its variants are observing a waiting period of 7 months.

For power, the Tata Nexon uses a 1.2-litre turbo petrol and a 1.5L diesel engine. While the gasoline unit makes a top power of 118bhp and 170Nm of torque, the latter offers 108bhp and 260Nm of peak torque. The subcompact SUV can be had with either a 6-speed manual and an AMT gearbox.

The new Maruti Brezza is available with a 1.5L K15C petrol engine boosted with the mild hybrid tech. The motor delivers a maximum power of 103bhp and 137Nm of torque. A 5-speed manual gearbox comes as standard and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic transmission with paddle shifters is available on the top three trims.
The Hyundai Creta diesel variants (E, EX and S) are being promised to be delivered in 6 to 7 months, while the S+ and SX (O) automatic variants can be had within 6 months. The waiting period of the SX variant is around 5 months. The Creta petrol variants have a waiting period of up to 7 months. While the SX (O) iVT will be available after 5 months of booking, the E variant commands a waiting period of up to 4 months. The EX and SX iVT variants are observing a waiting period of around 3 months.
