Tata Motors has unveiled the first official images of the upcoming Nexon iCNG concept, set to make its public debut at the Bharat Mobility Expo scheduled from February 1st to 3rd, 2024, in Delhi. The production-ready version’s launch timeline is yet to be disclosed, but it is expected to hit showrooms in the second half of 2024, possibly around the festive season. The design and styling of the Tata Nexon CNG concept closely resemble the ICE-powered version that underwent a mid-life update last year.
Similar to other CNG models from Tata, the Tata Nexon CNG will feature the brand’s twin CNG cylinder technology. This setup includes two cylinder tanks placed under the boot floor, offering more storage space than other CNG cars available in India. While the CNG tanks occupy the space of the spare wheel, the spare wheel is relocated underneath the car. The Nexon CNG will be positioned as a more fuel-efficient alternative to the Nexon diesel, which will be phased out in the future.
Tata Motors will also showcase the upcoming Curvv, Harrier EV, and Altroz Racer concepts at the Bharat Mobility Show. These vehicles are expected to go on sale in 2024. Additionally, the Altroz facelift, currently in its initial testing phase, is set to be introduced in the coming months. The hatchback is likely to receive subtle cosmetic and feature upgrades, while retaining its existing engine setup.
The Tata Punch, a popular model from the automaker, is scheduled for its first update in 2025. The micro SUV is anticipated to feature a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless smartphone connectivity, a full TFT instrument cluster, a new touch panel for the AC unit, and a slightly revised dashboard. Design updates may include vertically stacked LED projector headlamps, new alloy wheels, tweaked bumpers, new LED taillamps, and a redesigned tailgate.
