Tata Harrier, Safari XTA+ Variants Launched; Panoramic Sunroof, 6AT

Tata Motors has launched the XTA+ variants of the Harrier and Safari SUVs in the country. The new variants are equipped with 6-speed automatic gearbox and a panoramic sunroof. The Harrier XTA+ is priced at Rs 19.34 lakh, while the Safari XTA+ is priced at Rs 20.08 lakh.

Tata claims that the Harrier and Safari are collectively leading the high SUV segment with a 41.2% market share. By introducing new XTA+ variants, Tata Motors will aim to further improve sales of its flagship SUVs in the country.

Commenting on the introduction of thesenew variant, Mr. Vivek Srivatsa, Head -Marketing, Passenger Vehicle Business Unit, Tata Motors said, “We are ecstatic at the response received by the Harrier and the Safari. The sheer love of our customers has helped us attain the pole position in the high SUV segment. Keeping our customer’s requirement as the top most priority and in line with our New Forever philosophy of continuously updating our portfolio with new products and features, we are delighted to introduce the latest variants – The Harrier XTA+ and The Safari XTA+. Equipped with two of the most demanded features, these XTA+ variants will come equipped with a  6 speed Automatic Transmission providing an effortless driving experience and a Panoramic Sunroof with functionalities like Global Close, Anti Pinch & Rain Sensing closure to name a few.”

The new XTA+ variants are equipped with host of features such as the projector headlamps, dual-function LED DRLs (Daytime Running Lamps), 17-inch alloy wheels, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with 8 speakers, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, push button start, automatic climate control, reverse parking camera, automatic headlamps and rain sensing wipers.  Also See – 2021 Tata Tiago NRG Launched

Adding to it, the Tata Safari comes with iRA connected car features, mood lighting, cruise control and TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System). The new XTA+ variants are equipped with dual front airbags, ESP (Electronic Stability Program), fog lamps & reverse parking camera as standard.

The Tata Safari and the Harrier XTA+ variants are powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine that produces 170bhp of power and 350Nm of torque. It is paired to a Hyundai-sourced 6-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox. Tata’s Kryotec diesel engine is said to be inspired by Cryogenic rocket engine. It has low friction valve train architecture and an advanced EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) to meet stringent emission standards.
