Tata Harrier, Safari Dark Red Editions With ADAS Launch Next Month

Tata Motors had showcased a wide range of concepts and new versions of existing models at the 2023 Auto Expo. The company had unveiled the Harrier EV, Avinya and the Safari EV along with the Curvv petrol concept. Moreover, Tata had showcased the CNG versions of the Punch & Altroz, a sportier Altroz Racer edition, Tiago Blitz and the Red editions of the Harrier and the Safari. The Tata Harrier and Safari Red Editions will be the new top-end variants in their respective line-up.

It is reported that the Tata Harrier and Safari Red Editions will go on sale in our market in March 2023. The Harrier & Safari Red Editions come with Oberon Black Body Colour, Zricon red inserts in the front grille, #DARK logo on the fenders and Satin Daytona Grey front and rear skid plates. It rides on 18-inch Blackstone alloy wheels.

New Tata Safari Dark Edition

Inside the cabin, the Dark Red Editions comes with Carnelian Red theme, leatherette seats with diamond shaped quilting, leatherette grab handles on doors and central console, steel black front dashboard design, piano black accents on steering wheel, console and doors.

Key Features

The new Safari Dark Red Edition comes equipped with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 7-inch digital TFT instrument console, 9-speaker JBL sound system with amplifier, iRA connected car tech & 200+ voice commands in 6 regional languages. It also comes equipped with ventilated captain seats on both rows, 360 degree surround view system, 6-way electrically adjustable driver seat with Memory & Welcome function, powered co-driver seat with boss mode & mood lighting in the sunroof.

The Harrier Dark Red Edition has most of the features that are accessible in the Safari Red. It has ventilated driver & co-driver seats, & wireless charger and C-type charging ports. In terms of safety features, the new SUVs get 6 airbags, enhanced electronic safety program with 17 functionalities and advanced driver assistance systems.

New Tata Harrier Interior

The ADAS tech will offer features like Autonomous Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Warning, Rear Collision Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Blind Spot Detection, Traffic Sign Recognition, Door Open Alert, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Change Alert and High Beam Assist. However, it misses out on adaptive cruise control.

The Tata Harrier and Safar Red Dark Editions are powered by the same 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbo-diesel engine that produces 168bhp of power and 350Nm of torque. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic. The engine will be updated to meet the upcoming BS6 Phase 2 or RDE norms.
