Tata Curvv EV, Harrier EV Coming Soon – All Key Details

Tata Motors has outlined an ambitious plan for 2024, with a focus on introducing multiple new EVs alongside a range of CNG and ICE models. The Tata Punch EV, already launched, is available in five trims (Smart, Smart+, Adventure, Empowered, and Empowered+), priced between Rs 10.99 lakh and Rs 14.49 lakh. Following this, the Curvv EV and the Harrier EV are slated to be the next significant offerings from the home-grown automaker.

Both models were showcased in their production-ready avatars at the recently concluded 2024 Bharat Mobility Global Expo. The Tata Curvv EV is expected to debut in the coming months, while the Harrier EV launch is scheduled for the second half of 2024, possibly around the Diwali season.

These forthcoming electric SUVs will be underpinned by Tata’s new Acti.ev platform, designed to optimize space and energy consumption. The versatile architecture supports various body styles, battery packs, drivetrains, and charging capabilities. Tata Motors has confirmed that vehicles based on the Acti.ev platform will offer a high range, exceeding 500km on a single charge. Detailed powertrain specifications for the Tata Curvv EV and Harrier EV are yet to be disclosed.

Leaked design patents and production-ready models of the Curvv EV reveal distinctive features, including a front grille with piano black and body color finish, new headlamp and fog lamp assemblies reminiscent of the updated Harrier, a larger bumper with a pronounced faux skid plate and air intake, and retained door-mounted wing mirrors and flush door handles. The rear section boasts taillamps with an LED light bar and vertically placed air inlets on the rear bumper, along with reflectors. The dimensions of the Curvv stand at 4308mm in length, 1801mm in width, and 1630mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2560mm and a boot space of 422 liters.

Harrier EV

The production-ready Tata Harrier EV closely resembles its concept, featuring a new blanked-off grille, split headlamps with blackened housing, a revised front bumper with angular creases, and a redesigned central air intake with a blanked-off panel. The electric SUV sports black cladding on the sides, alloy wheels, EV badges on the fenders, and flush door handles. At the rear, it showcases a revised bumper, a new LED light bar spanning its width, and additional body cladding.

Both the Curvv EV and Harrier EV are expected to offer a host of advanced features, including ADAS tech, a 360-degree camera, a large touchscreen infotainment system, a new twin-spoke steering wheel, and a redesigned central tunnel with rotary dials.
