The highly-anticipated Tata Punch EV has officially hit the Indian market, entering with an introductory price of Rs 10.99 lakh. This electric micro SUV lineup unfolds across five trims – Smart, Smart+, Adventure, Empowered, and Empowered+, presenting consumers with two enticing battery pack options: the 25kWh Standard Range and the 35kWh Long Range.
The Long Range version comes with an option of 7.2kW AC fast charger that costs an additional Rs 50,000. One must note that the sunroof is available in Adventure, Empowered and Empowered+ trims for an additional Rs 50,000. All prices mentioned in the list are ex-showroom, India. Deliveries of the Punch EV will begin on 22nd January 2024.

The Standard variant with 25kWh battery is specified to generate 82PS of power and 114Nm of torque, boasting a commendable range of 315km of MIDC. In contrast, the Long Range iteration offers 122PS and 190Nm, accompanied by an extended range of 421km of MIDC. By using a 50kW DC fast charger, one can charge its battery from 10 to 80 percent in 56 minutes. Tata claims that the Punch EV Long Range version can go 0 to 100kmph in under 9.5 seconds and it has a water wading capacity of 350mm. The electric micro SUV comes with drive modes – City and Sport.
Setting itself apart, the Punch EV becomes the pioneer in Tata’s lineup to embrace the Acti.ev platform, featuring a front trunk (frunk) and a charging socket at the front. Tata has lavishly equipped this electric marvel with a host of features, including a 10.25-inch infotainment system supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 360-degree camera, wireless smartphone charger, ventilated front seats, a blind spot monitor, leatherette seats, an air purifier, and the exclusive Arcade.ev app suite.
On the safety front, the Punch EV doesn’t compromise, offering six airbags as standard, complemented by features like electronic stability program, ABS with EBD, iTPMS, rear parking sensor, Isofix mounts, three-point seat belts for all seats, hill start assist, and auto-hold functionality.
Adding a touch of customization, the Punch EV is presented in a spectrum of exterior color options. The entry-level Smart variant showcases a pristine white paint scheme, while the Adventure, Empowered, and Empowered+ trims introduce a vibrant array of dual-tone shades – Pristine White with a black roof, Seaweed with a black roof, Fearless Red with a black roof, and Daytona Grey with a black roof. The Empowered Oxide with a black roof combination stands as an exclusive offering for the Empowered and Empowered+ trims.
