The much-awaited 2023 Kia Seltos facelift has finally been launched in the country at a starting price of Rs 10.89 lakh, which goes up to Rs 19.99 lakh for the top-spec X-Line variant. Interested buyers can book the new Seltos online or at authorised dealership by paying a token amount of Rs 25,000. The SUV has received overwhelming response from buyers with 13,424 units booked on the very first day Kia opened bookings.
2023 Kia Seltos Variant-Wise Prices
The new Seltos facelift is available in three trim levels – Tech-line, GT Line and the X-Line. The NA petrol version is priced between Rs 10.89 lakh and Rs 16.59 lakh, while the turbo petrol version is available in the price bracket of Rs 14.99 lakh to Rs 19.99 lakh. The diesel version of the Seltos is priced at Rs 11.99 lakh for the base variant, while the top-spec variant is tagged at Rs 19.99 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
2023 Kia Seltos Specifications
The new Seltos facelift is available in three engine options – a 1.5-litre NA petrol, a 1.5-litre turbo petrol and a 1.5-litre turbo diesel. While the NA petrol engine is capable of producing 115bhp and 144Nm of torque, the turbo diesel engine produces 116bhp and 250Nm of torque. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual, a CVT automatic with NA petrol, a 6-speed iMT & a 6-speed automatic gearbox with turbo diesel.
The turbo petrol engine is capable of producing 160bhp of power and 253Nm of torque. Transmission choices include a 6-speed iMT or a 7-speed DCT. This turbo petrol engine is only available with HTK+, HTX+, GTX+ and X-Line. The 1.5L NA petrol with manual gearbox is available on the HTE, HTK, HTK+ and the HTX trims, while the iMT gearbox is only available on the HTX trim.
Design & Interior
The new Seltos comes with revised exterior & an heavily updated interior along with a new turbo petrol engine. In terms of styling, the SUV gets an all-new front bumper, a revised larger grille and an updated headlamps with new LED daytime running lamps that merges nicely into the grille and a four-block design for the fog lamps. At the back, the SUV has a new inverted L-shaped tail-lights connected by an LED light bar, and a new bumper.
Kia has also added a new Pewter Olive exterior paint scheme along with eight other solid colours & two dual-tone colours. The top-spec Turbo petrol variant come with dual exhaust tips, the GT Line and X Line trim get a different body kit compared to the lower-spec Tech Line trims. Moreover, the top-spec trims ride on bigger 18-inch alloys.
The cabin has received maximum changes, and the biggest change comes in the form of new dual 10.25-inch connected screens for infotainment & a digital instrumentation. The SUV comes with an all-new centre console that has slimmer air-con vents & new HVAC controls. It appears more premium, thanks to the different colour combinations & use of soft touch materials. In terms of features, the SUV gets a 360 degree camera, a dual-zone climate control, an 8-inch HUD, electronic parking brake, rain sensing wipers & a Bose-tuned 8-speaker system with sound mood lamps & others.
The SUV comes with advanced driver assistant system (ADAS) & the factory-fitted panoramic sunroof. The ADAS tech offer features like forward collision warning assist, emergency braking, lane assist, blind spot monitoring, and others. In terms of safety features, the SUV gets six airbags, ESC, hill-start assist, all-wheel disc brakes, TPMS and three-point seat belts as standard.
