Tata Altroz CNG Price Reveal On 19th April – All Key Details

Tata Motors has confirmed that it will announce prices of the Altroz CNG on April 19, 2023. Just so you know, the model was first showcased at this year’s Auto Expo alongside the Punch CNG. The Tata Altroz CNG features a 1.2L petrol engine benefited with the twin-cylinder CNG technology. The setup delivers a claimed power of 76bhp and 97Nm of torque, thus making it slightly less powerful and torqueier than the standard gasoline unit. The latter one is good enough for 84bhp and 113Nm. The Altroz CNG’s dual cylinder setup eats less boot space than regular CNG kit setup. The cylinders are placed above the rear floor and each one of them has a capacity of 30-litres. The Tata Altroz CNG has also been packed with first-in-segment Single Advanced EUC (engine control unit) and Direct State CNG system. The hatchback gets faster refuling, modular fuel filter and auto switch between fuels. It allows to switch off the engine during refuling through a micro switch. The Altroz is also the first CNG model to feature leakage detection technology that ensures a switch to petrol in case of a gas leak.

Design and features of the Tata Altroz CNG are exactly similar to the regular petrol and diesel model. Though, it has the CNG sticker on the front and rear windshields. The hatchback’s CNG version is likely to be based on the top-end trim that comes equipped with features such as a 7-inch Harman infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, height adjustable driver seat, leatherette seat upholstery, electric sunroof, automatic climate control, projector headlamps, LED DRLs, shark fin antenna R16 dual-tone alloy wheels, auto folding ORVMs, and 6 airbags.

Once launched, the Altroz CNG will go head-to-head against the CNG versions of the Toyota Glanza and Maruti Suzuki Baleno. Compared to its regular petrol counterpart, the CNG Altroz is expected to cost around Rs 60,000 – Rs 80,000 higher.
