Japanese automaker, Suzuki has launched the much-awaited new V-Strom SX 250cc adventure motorcycle in the Indian market. Priced at Rs 2.11 lakh, the new Suzuki V-Strom SX 250 is offered in 3 colour options – Yellow, Orange and Black.
The new Suzuki V-Strom directly rivals the KTM 250 Adventure, Benelli TRK 251, Yezdi Adventure and the BMW G 310 GS. For people not in the know, Suzuki is already selling the V-Strom 250 adventure bike since 2017 in the international markets.
Commenting on the launch, Mr. Satoshi Uchida, Managing Director, Suzuki Motorcycle India, said, “We feel delighted to announce our entry in the 250cc adventure sports segment with the launch of V-Strom SX. The All-New V-Strom SX has been manufactured to cater to the needs of the riders who like a versatile sports adventure tourer. V-Strom SX will be perfectly suitable for city and highway riding as well as to explore various kinds of adventure terrains on a motorcycle.”
Suzuki V-Strom SX 250 Specifications
Powering the new V-Strom SX 250 is the same 249cc, 4-stroke, single-cylinder, oil-cooled SOHC engine that powers the Gixxer twins. This engine churns out 29.5PS at 9,300rpm and 22.2Nm at 7,300rpm. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
In terms of proposition, the new Suzuki V-Strom SX 250 is 2,180mm long, 880mm wide and 1,355mm tall. The motorcycle has a wheelbase of 1,440mm and has a seat height of 835mm. The soft-roader has a ground clearance of 205mm. It has a kerb weight of 167L and fuel tank of 12-litre capacity.
The motorcycle gets disc brakes with dual-channel ABS system. It rides on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels shod with 100/90 and 140/70 section tyres at the front and rear respectively. It gets telescopic front forks and monoshock unit at the rear.
V-Strom SX 250 Features
The new Suzuki V-Strom SX 250 is a multi-utility motorcycle that can effectively handle the rough terrains. The motorcycle is good to handle daily commutes as well as some mild off-roading and long distance highway cruising.
The new adventure motorcycle is claimed to have a comfortable, upright riding stance. The motorcycle gets wide handlebar and split seats. In terms of features, the bike gets LED headlamp, a windscreen, LED tail-lights, knucle covers, dual exit muffler, engine under cowling and sporty graphics.
The new Suzuki V-Strom 250 comes with a fully digital instrument console that supports Bluetooth connectivity features using Suzuki Ride Connect application. The motorcycle is equipped with a USB charger.
