Mahindra Scorpio N Lower Variant (Z4) Deliveries Begin In India

Mahindra Scorpio N is surely one of the biggest new car launches of this year. While prices of the SUV were announced in June, its deliveries were commenced in the last week of September, 2022. The carmaker delivered its 7,000 units during Navratri season. Initially, the carmaker priorities deliveries of the top-end Z8 L variant. Now, the company has begun deliveries of its lower variants. A latest video shows exterior and interior of the Scorpio-N Z4 variant that’s standing into a dealer stockyard. It’s the Z4 petrol manual variant featuring halogen lamps, steel wheels and LED taillamps.

The SUV’s Z4 variant comes with features such as an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system supporting Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, electric power steering (petrol)/ hydraulic power steering (diesel), steering mounted controls, manual AC unit with rear AC vents, fabric upholstery, electronic stability control, traction control, cruise control, hill hold control and hill descent control. It offers three drive modes – Zip, Zap and Zoom.

Engine setup of the new Mahindra Scorpio N includes a 2.0-litre, turbo-petrol and a 2.2L mHawk diesel. The petrol motor makes a peak power of 203bhp and 370Nm of torque with a 6-speed gearbox and 10Nm extra torque with a 6-speed torque convertor automatic transmission. The 2.2-litre, mHawk diesel unit has two states of tune. The lower Z2 and the Z4 variants deliver power worth 130hp and 300Nm of torque with a 6-speed manual transmission. The Z4, Z6, Z8, and Z8L variants come with three drive modes – Zip, Zap, and Zoom. While the setup (with both manual and automatic gearbox) delivers 138bhp in Zip mode, it offers 175bhp in Zap and Zoom modes. The torque figure stands at 370Nm and 400Nm with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox respectively. The 4WD system with terrain modes are available on all diesel-manual variants.
