Skoda had launched the Kushaq compact SUV in the Indian market in June 2021. The SUV has received an overwhelming response from car buyers. It is based on the MQB-AO-IN platform, which also underpins the VW Taigun & Skoda Slavia sedan. In order to celebrate the success of the India 2.0 Project, Skoda has launched the new Kushaq Monte Carlo Edition in the Indian market.

It is positioned above the top-spec Style variant. The new Monte Carlo Edition is available at a starting price of Rs 15.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo Top Changes
The Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo Edition looks sportier than the regular model. It is offered in two colour options – Tornado Red and Candy White. The vehicle gets a traditional butter-fly pattern multi-slat grille, which now has glossy black surrounds instead of the chrome surrounds. The grille is flanked by Crystalline LED headlamps with DRLs. The SUV also gets a glossy black front diffuser.
There is a Monte Carlo badge on the front fender. it rides on new 17-inch dual-tone Vega alloy wheels. The vehicle gets sporty red brake calipers in the front wheels of the 1.5L TSI version, while the 1.0L version gets black brake calipers. It has black ORVMs & chromed door handles, and black roof with matt black roof rails. Interior Changes
Inside the cabin, the Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo Edition gets red and black dual-tone upholstery. It gets dual-tone ventilated front leather seats with Monte Carlo inscription. The red stitching is also added to the door armrest and the centre armrest. It gets red ambient lighting and aluminum pedals for sporty feel.
The dual-tone theme with Ruby Red metallic inserts are offered on the centre console and the front door handles. It comes with a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a two-spoke multi-functional steering wheel and a new digital instrument console. Adding to it, the SUV gets Monte Carlo inscribed scuff plates on the front doors, a Skoda sound system with 8 speakers & subwoofer, a panoramic sunroof, etc.
Specifications
It is available with two engine options – a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder TSI and a 1.5L 4-cylinder TSI. While the former is good for 114bhp and 178Nm, the later produces 148bhp and 250Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed torque convertor automatic (1.0L TSI) and a 7-speed DSG (1.5l TSI).
