Tata Nexon EV Max, which is essentially the long-range version of the electric SUV, is ready to hit roads on 11th May 2022. In order to create excitement among buyers, the company keeps dropping new teasers and details of the vehicle. The latest teaser confirms that the Nexon EV Max will be capable to cover Mumbai to Pune and back in a single charge. One can make a return journey from Bangaluru to Mysore, Chennai to Pondi, Delhi to Kurshetra, Ranchi to Dhanbad and Gandhinagar to Vadodara.
The carmaker hints that the Nexon EV Max can do 300km on a full charge in the real-world conditions. So, we can expect it certified figure to stand over 400km (certified). While its official specifications will be revealed in a couple of days, the new Nexon EV “Range Max” is reported to come with a larger 40kWh battery pack. It will deliver a peak power of 134bhp with a 6.6kW AC charger. Compared to the existing 30.2kWh lithium-ion battery pack, the new one will be around 9bhp more powerful.
Reports suggest that Tata will introduce the long-range Nexon EV with some extra goodies. There might be selectable regeneration modes for adjusting intensity of regenerative braking. Besides this, the electric SUV might get an air purifier, electronic stability program (ESP), ventilated seats, cruise control and a park mode. The first teaser video reveals that the Tata Nexon EV Max will have an electronic parking brake with auto hold and an illuminated gear selector. Its interior layout, however, will remain unchanged. The long-range Tata Nexon EV will witness a few cosmetic changes including the newly-designed 5-spoke alloy wheels.
Prices of the Nexon “Range Max” variant will surely be higher than the existing model. The latter comes within the price range of Rs 14.54 lakh – Rs 17.15 lakh (all, ex-showroom).
