With an aim to boost sales of the Skoda Kushaq, the carmaker has brought in its Matte Edition in four variants with both manual and automatic transmissions. In the SUV model lineup, the new edition sits above the Style trim and below the range-topping Monte Carlo variant. The Skoda Kushaq Matte Edition 1.0L TSI manual and automatic versions have been priced at Rs 16.19 lakh and Rs 17.79 lakh respectively. Its 1.5L TSI manual version costs Rs 18.19 lakh, and the automatic version is available at Rs 19.39 lakh.
Please note that the aforementioned prices are ex-showroom. Only 500 units of the Matte Edition will be sold in India. Compared to the regular Style trim, the new Kushaq Matte Edition is nearly Rs 40,000 more expensive. The carmaker says that they are expected more customers entering into the Skoda family with the Kushaq Matte Edition.

Matte and glossy!
A few visual enhancements have been made to the Skoda Kushaq Matte Edition. The model has been painted in Matte Carbon Steel shade, and what compliments it is the gloss black elements on the door handles, ORVMs and rear spoiler. Interior – What’s new here?
What distinguish its interior is a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Just so you know, the SUV’s Style trim comes with an 8-inch info unit. The Skoda Kushaq Matte Edition comes with the 6-speaker sound system and a subwoofer as we get in the top-end Monte Carlo trim.
Engine-gearbox combos
As mentioned above, the new Kushaq Matte Edition is being offered with both 1.0L TSI and 1.5L TSI turbo petrol engine. While the former is good for 114bhp and 178Nm, the latter offers 148bhp with 250Nm. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual (standard), a 6-speed torque convertor (with the 1.0L petrol variants only) and a 7-speed DCT (with the 1.5L petrol variants only).
