The Royal Enfield Interceptor 350 has recently been caught testing, which shows that shares styling from the bigger sibling. The motorycle could be called the Interceptor or could receive a completely different branding. The spy images reveal that the new model shares the tail-section and turn indicators from the 650cc bike. However, it gets a single exhaust system instead of the twin exhaust in the Interceptor 650.

In order to keep costs down, the bike will use the Meteor 350 platform, telescopic front forks and twin spring rear shock absorbers. Disc brakes and dual-channel ABS system will be offered as standard. Similar to the cruiser sibling, the Interceptor will have Tripper navigation.

New RE Classic 350

The all-new Classic 350 is expected to be launched in the country in the second quarter of 2021, most probably in April-May. The next-gen Classic 350 will be based on the new modular J platform, which will be used to develop a new breed of RE 350cc motorcycles including the Meteor 350.

Going by the spy images, it is visible that the new RE Classic 350 will retain the original Classic-look. However, RE engineers will make significant design changes such as new fuel tank and alloys, revised tail-lamps and exhaust system along with a semi digital instrument console with an analogue speedometer. Design bits such as retro-styled blinkers, round headlamps and chrome-plated rear view mirrors will be carried over from the current generation.

Engine Specs

Both bikes will use the new 349cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine with an OHC design. This single-cylinder engine churns out 20.2bhp of power at 6,100rpm and a peak torque of 27Nm at 4,000rpm. Power is transmitted to the rear wheel via a 6-speed gearbox.
