Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 Coming On 8th November

Royal Enfield has confirmed that it will unveil the new RE Super Meteor 650 on 8th November at the 2022 EICMA in Milan, Italy. The company has released a teaser revealing its debut date and rear section. The Royal Enfield Meteor 650 will be the brand’s third 650cc model in the country. Rumour has it that the Chennai-based bikemaker might showcase its cruiser at the 2022 Rider Mania in Goa. The event is scheduled to happen between 18th to 20th November, 2022.

If reports are to be believed, the company has already begun staff training for the upcoming new Super Meteor 650. Official launch date and details of the bike are yet to be revealed. Though, it’s expected to witness a market launch in December 2022 or January 2023.

The spy images confirm that the new Royal Enfield 650cc bike will have retro-styled design language with circular headlamp, a large, non-adjustable windshield and chromed crash guards at the front end. The model will come with alloy wheels, a flatter rear fender, a twin-pipe exhaust system, forward-set foot pegs and round turn indicators and taillamps. The new Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 will have a semi digital instrument console with a smaller pad for the tripper navigation. The unit will have silver finish. Interestingly, it will be the first RE 650cc bike to come with an optional Tripper Navigation accessory. Its switches, non-adjustable hand levers and front brake master cylinder are likely to be carried forward from the Meteor 350.

As far as engine is concerned, the new Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 will share its powertrain with the RE 650cc twins. That means, the cruiser bike will use the 648cc, parallel twin-cylinder engine boosted with fuel injection technology. The motor pushes out a peak power of 47PS and 52Nm of toque. Transmission duties will be performed by a 6-speed gearbox that will come with the slipper and assist clutch.
