Royal Enfield Hunter 350 Engine Specs Out – Smallest, Cheapest RE Bike

Royal Enfield is ready to roll out its new 350cc motorcycle in the month of August. Called the Royal Enfield Hunter 350, the model is expected to the most affordable RE in the country. While its official specifications and details are yet to be revealed, the leaked document confirms that the bike will use the 349.34cc, single-cylinder engine delivering 20bhp. It’s the same motor that does duty in the RE Meteor. The bike measures 2055mm in length, 800mm in width and 1055mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 1370mm and carries a gross weight of 360kg.

Besides engine, the upcoming Royal Enfield Hunter 350 will share its braking and suspension mechanism with the RE Meteor 350. The bike will have front and rear disc brakes along with the dual-channel ABS (anti-lock braking system). Its suspension setup will include the conventional telescopic forks upfront and dual rear shock absorbers. The new RE 350cc bike will be designed on the double cradle chassis that underpins the Meteor.

While its round headlamp and Y-shaped alloy wheels look similar to the Meteor, the RE Hunter 350 has shorter and smaller swing arm, differently designed fuel tank and a single piece seat. In fact, its taillamps, grab handles and mudguards are also different. It will have a new rear suspension unit. The Chennai-based bikemaker will provide several accessories with its new 350cc bike including a plastic side box, a fly screen and a backrest as we have seen in the Meteor 350. As mentioned above, the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 is likely to be the cheapest offering from the bikemaker. Its prices are estimated to be around Rs 10,000 less than the Royal Enfield Bullet 350 that’s currently available within the price range of Rs 1.3 lakh – Rs 1.4 lakh. Reports suggest that the new RE 350cc motorcycle could be offered in two variants.
