We’ve seen the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 in numerous spy shots and leaked images, but now we have the first official glimpse of the bike. The Chennai-based two-wheeler manufacturer has dropped its initial teaser and sent out a ‘block-your-date’ invitation for a launch event scheduled from October 30th to November 1st, 2023. The teaser video showcases the bike in clips navigating snowy and rugged terrains. Notably, the Himalayan 450 will be the first Royal Enfield to feature a liquid-cooled engine. This new motor will have a displacement of 411cc, producing power in the range of 35bhp to 40bhp and torque of 40Nm. Here – Listen To The Royal Enfield Shotgun 350‘s Buzzing Exhaust Note

The upcoming Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 will introduce several significant enhancements. It will be the brand’s debut model to sport an all-LED lighting system and USD (upside-down) front forks. The bike will also offer segment-first features such as a three-in-one taillamp setup with two LED flashers that function as turn signals, indicators, and brake lights – a layout reminiscent of the BMW S 1000RR. At the front, a beak-like front guard and a large windscreen will contribute to the bike’s design.

In terms of features, smartphone connectivity, Bluetooth connectivity with navigation, and a fully digital instrument cluster will be present. The new 450cc Royal Enfield bike will come equipped with dual-channel ABS, monoshock rear suspension, ride-by-wire technology, and multiple ride modes. Braking will be facilitated by front and rear disc brakes, potentially offering switchable ABS (anti-lock braking system).

Regarding pricing, the upcoming Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 is estimated to be priced around Rs 2.50 lakh (ex-showroom). If launched at this price point, it will be positioned at a higher cost compared to many of its rivals.
