Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 Clear Images Reveal Design Details

Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 will be the next major product launch from the Chennai-based two-wheeler manufacturer in the country. The bike has been spied a gazillion times with heavy and minimal camouflaged, and each time we got some interesting to note about it. The trend remains as it is with its latest sighting, as we finally get to see it in its bare avatar. The spy images come from Austria where the bike was under its final testing rounds.

The recently captured test mule was painted in Black shade with some exposed green wiring. You can also notice accessories such as auxiliary lights, side panniers with pannier mounts and a top box. It has a bulbous fuel tank that appears bigger the existing Himalayan. There will also be a fully digital instrument cluster, Bluetooth connectivity with navigation, smartphone connectivity, wire-spoke wheels with dual purpose tubed tyres and dual-channel ABS. Rumour has it that the bike might also get ride modes and ride-by-wire.

The RE Himalayan 450 will have several segment-first features including three-in-one taillamp setup. It consists of two LED flashers that perform as turn signals, indicators and brake light as we have seen in the BMW S 1000 RR. Furthermore, the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 will be the first model from the Chennai-based two-wheeler maker to get a new single-cylinder. With displacement around 450cc, the motor is likely to deliver power close to 35bhp-40bhp and torque around 40Nm.

Royal Enfield Himalaya 450 is likely to have its world premiere towards the end of 2023. It could be showcased at 78th edition of EICMA that’s scheduled to take place between 7th to 12th November, 2023. As far as pricing is concerned, the bike is estimated to cost between Rs 2.60 lakh – Rs 2.70 lakh.
