2023 Hero Xtreme 160R 4V Launched – Fastest & Lightest 160cc

Hero Motocorp has finally launched the long-awaited new Xtreme 160R 4V in the Indian market. Priced at Rs 1.27 lakh, the 2023 Hero Xtreme 160R is claimed to be the fastest & the lightest 160cc motorcycle in the country. The new motorcycle will rival the likes of the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V and the Bajaj Pulsar NS160.

Interested buyers can book the new motorcycle online or at authorised Hero dealerships, while deliveries will commence from 2nd week of July. The 2023 Hero Xtreme 160R 4V is available in 3 variants – Standard, Connected and Pro – priced at Rs 1,27,300, Rs 1,32,800 and Rs 1,36,500 respectively (ex-showroom).

2023 Hero Xtreme 160R 4V Price

The new Xtreme 160R 4V is powered by a new 163.2cc, 4-stroke, air-cooled, 4-valve engine that is capable of producing 16.9PS at 8500rpm and a peak torque of 14.6Nm at 6600rpm. This engine is linked to a 5-speed gearbox. The motorcycle is built on the tubular underbone diamond type frame with box type swing arm. The previous model with 2V engine offered 15.2PS and 14Nm of torque.

The motorcycle comes with upside-down front forks as against the conventional telescopic units in the current model. The rear gets a preload-adjustable mono-shock unit. For braking, the 2023 Hero Xtreme 160R 4V gets disc brakes on both wheels with a single channel ABS as standard. The standard variant gets conventional telescopic suspension at the front and 7-step adjustable monoshock at the rear.

2023 Hero Xtreme 160R 4V features

The 2023 Hero Xtreme 160R rides on 17-inch alloy wheels shod with 100/80 and 130/70 section front and rear tyres respectively. In terms of proportions, the new Xtreme 160R 4V is 2029mm long, 793mm wide and 1052mm tall, and has a wheelbase of 1333mm. The motorcycle has a seat height of 795mm and a ground clearance of 165mm. It is the lightest motorcycle in its category with a kerb weight of 144kgs.

The motorcycle comes with Bluetooth connectivity through the LCD console. It now gets a sportier, split seat setup instead of the single piece unit in the previous model. The bike also comes with redesigned switchgear that also appears more premium. It retains the LED lighting system and a digital console.
