Launched in October 2021, the Tata Punch mini SUV has been generating volume for the home-grown automaker in the country. At present, the Punch is available within the price range of Rs 6 lakh – Rs 9.54 lakh (all, ex-showroom). Maruti Baleno Cross

Maruti Futuro Details

Maruti Suzuki’s new subcompact SUV will make its first appearance at the 2023 Auto Expo in January. The model is expected to be named Maruti Baleno Cross. It will carry new Suzuki design language and likely to share its interior layout and features with the Baleno hatchback. The new Maruti mini SUV will be based on the Heartect platform. Under the hood, it’s reported to feature the 1.0L Boosterjet petrol engine meeting BS6 emission standards. The carmaker might also introduce the Baleno Cross with the 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol (89bhp/113Nm) or 1.5L Dualjet petrol (102bhp) engine. It’s expected to be retailed within the price range of Rs 8 lakh – Rs 11 lakh via Nexa dealerships. More details here…

Hyundai Mini SUV

Hyundai Casper Launch India

If reports are to be believed, the South Korean automaker might showcase its all-new mini SUV at the 2023 Auto Expo. Internally known as Hyundai Ai3, the model will share its underpinning with the Grand i10 Nios hatchback. It will be the smallest Hyundai SUV in the country. Some of its design elements, features and components will be borrowed from the Hyundai Casper that’s retailed in select global market. However, the India-spec new Hyundai mini SUV will be bigger. For power, the Ai3 micro SUV might use the 1.2L petrol engine that’s good for 82bhp and 114Nm. It’s the same powertrain that does duty in the Grand i10 Nios. It could also be made available with the CNG fuel option. More details here…
