Tata Punch EV
Tata Motors is set to introduce the Punch EV to the Indian market, creating a unique position without any direct competitors. Positioned to rival the Citroen eC3 in terms of pricing, the electric micro SUV is anticipated to be available in two trims – Medium Range and Long Range, mirroring the successful Nexon EV lineup. Featuring Tata’s advanced Ziptron technology, the powertrain will offer two battery options, providing an estimated range of around 200km and 300km on a single charge. The Punch EV will boast distinct electric vehicle design elements, including a redesigned grille and alloy wheels. Notable features encompass a new two-spoke steering wheel, rear disc brakes, a circular display-integrated gear selector dial, and an electric parking brake.
Kia Sonet Facelift
The updated Kia Sonet has commenced nationwide bookings, with price announcements and deliveries set to commence in January 2024. The subcompact SUV lineup comprises three trims – HT-Line, GT-Line, and X-Line. A standout feature is the Level 1 ADAS tech, offering a suite of advanced driver assistance systems. Highlights include lane departure warning, lane following assist, lane keep assist, front collision warning, front collision avoidance assist, leading vehicle departure alert, driver attention warning, and high beam assist. Toyota Taisor
Toyota Kirloskar Motor is gearing up to launch its subcompact SUV, based on the Maruti Suzuki Fornx, tentatively named Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor, in early 2024. The model is expected to feature a refreshed front grille, newly-designed alloy wheels, and updated bumpers. Interior enhancements may include a new color theme. Powering the Taisor will be the 1.2L naturally aspirated and 1.0L Boosterjet petrol engines, delivering 90bhp with 113Nm and 100bhp with 147Nm, respectively.
Mahindra XUV300 Facelift
Mahindra & Mahindra is set to unveil the updated XUV300 subcompact SUV in February 2024. The model will feature a new 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox, replacing the existing 6-speed AMT unit, while retaining the engine setup. Noteworthy additions comprise the class-first panoramic sunroof and ADAS tech. The SUV will also receive an upgraded freestanding infotainment system with an improved user interface. Additional features may include AdrenoX UI with OTA updates, wireless phone charging, a 360-degree camera, ventilated front seats, and a digital instrument cluster.
