Over 8.34 Lakh Royal Enfield Bikes Sold in FY2023 – Highest Ever

In fiscal year 2022-23, Royal Enfield registered its highest ever cumulative sales of 8.,34,895 units against 6,02,268 units in the FY2022. It accounted a YoY growth of 39 percent. In the domestic market, the bikemaker managed to sell 7,34,840 units in the financial year and recorded 42 percent growth over FY22. Furthermore, the company achieved 1 lakh export milestone in FY23.

A total of 72,235 Royal Enfield bikes were sold in March 2023 including 59,884 units in the domestic market and 12,351 units of exports. It registered a YoY sales growth of 6.73 percent. B Govindarajan, CEO, Royal Enfield said that the company has “achieved new heights in sales and market share”. The RE Hunter 350 and Super Meteor 650 have exceeded expectations and contributed in total sales with significant numbers.

Upcoming Royal Enfield Bikes

Coming to FY2024, the Chennai-based bikemaker is likely to set new sales recodes as it has planned several new models across 350cc, 450cc and 650cc segments. In the 350cc bike space, Royal Enfield will bring in the new-generation Bullet 350 and Shotgun 350 bobber.

The all-new RE Bullet 350 will underpin a new platform and come with improved design and new engine. It will use the Meteor’s 346cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that’s good enough for 20.2bhp and 27Nm of torque. The bike will continue to feature the retro-styled headlight with chrome treatment, tear-drop tank, flat handlebars, wire-spoke wheels and single sided exhaust canister. There could be a new single-piece seat offering better lumbar support.

RE has also planned the Himalayan 450, a 450 Scrambler, Shotgun 650 and 650cc Scrambler. The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 is reported to launch sometime in 2023. The bike will use a new, liquid-cooled engine making 35bhp and 40Nm. It will come with the Showa USD front forks and rear monoshock suspension. There will be front and rear disc brakes along with the dual-channel switchable ABS.
