Over 4,000 Nissan Cars Sold In Feb – Thanks To Magnite

Nissan India today announced that the company achieved a wholesale of 4,244 units in February 2021. The major sales contribution comes from the newly-launched Nissan Magnite. The carmaker received over 40,000 bookings for the sub-4 meter SUV and delivered its 6,582 units since its launch in December last year. Speaking on the occasion, Rakesh Srivastava, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India said that the company’s plant is operating at full capacity with three shifts with support of supply chain partners to shorten the waiting period of the Magnite.

Currently, Nissan has three vehicles in its Indian product portfolio – Magnite, Kicks and GT-R. Prices of the Magnite small SUV and Kicks mid-size SUV start from Rs 5.49 lakh and Rs 9.49 lakh respectively. The performance-oriented Nissan GT-R costs Rs 2.12 crore (ex-showroom).

Nissan Magnite Maintenance Cost

Talking about Nissan’s latest offering, the Magnite comes in 5 trims along with an optional Technology pack worth an additional Rs 39,000. One must note that the Technology pack is available on the XV, XV Premium and XV Premium (O) trims. The Nissan Magnite offers several segment-first features including wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity with an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 7.0-inch TFT display for instrument cluster, a 360 degree around view camera, voice recognition technology, tyre pressure monitor, LED bi projector headlamps with LED DRLs, 16-inch diamond cut alloys, roof rails, electrically adjustable and foldable wing mirrors and more.

Magnite Ambient Lighting

The new Nissan subcompact SUV comes with two petrol engine options -1.0-litre, three-cylinder, naturally aspirated and 1.0-liter, three-cylinder, turbo. While the former makes power worth 72bhp, the latter one is good enough for 100bhp and 160Nm. A 5-speed manual gearbox is standard across the model lineup. The turbo-petrol motor additionally gets a CVT automatic gearbox.
