Ola Electric has launched the ‘Gerua’ edition for the S1 and S1 Pro in the Indian market. Adding to it, the Ola S1 variant now offered with 5 new colour options – Marshmallow, Millennial Pink, Anthracite Grey, Midnight Blue and Matt Black.
Ola Electric is currently selling 3 electric scooters in the country – S1, S1 Pro and S1 Air. The S1 Pro was launched in 2021, and is available at a price tag of Rs 1.40 lakh. The Ola S1 is priced at Rs 1 lakh, while S1 Air is the entry-level variant priced at Rs 85,000.
The Ola S1 is currently the top-selling electric scooter on sale in the country. In fact, the company sold 25,000 units of the S1 range in the month of December 2022. In 2022, the company reported sales of over 1.5 lakh units. The company has introduced over 100 new experience centers and launched 3 software updates for the electric scooter in one year, with the over-the-air (OTA) roll-out of MoveOS 3 to over 1 lakh customers.
With MoveOS 3 update, the S1 electric scooter is compatible with the brand’s hypercharger network, which is currently spread across 27 Indian States. Based on the feedback from our community, we are bringing back the ‘Gerua’ edition to both our variants and are also making Ola S1 available in all 11 colour palettes, which make our scooters an even more exciting proposition.”
The S1 Air comes fitted with hub-mounted 4.5kW electric motor drawing power from a smaller 2.5kWh battery pack. It is claimed to offer a range of 101km and 0-40kmph acceleration in 4.3 seconds and 90kmph top speed. The S1 variant gets a 3kWh battery pack and 8.5kW mid-mounted electric motor. It is claimed to offer a range of 141km and 0-40kmph in 3.8 seconds with 95kmph top speed. Both models are offered with 3 riding modes – Eco, Normal and Sport.
The top-spec Ola S1 Pro comes with a 4kWh battery pack and a 8.5kW mid-mounted motor. This variant has a claimed range of 181km on a sngle charge. It is claimed to achieve 0-40kmph in 2.9 seconds before hitting a top speed of 116kmph. It is available in 4 riding modes – Eco, Normal, Sport and Hyper.
