It’s been over a year, the Ola Electric launched its first electric scooter, the S1, in the Indian market. However, in the past few months, the EV maker has introduced its two new affordable variants to target a wider section of buyers. With this, the Ola S1 is now available in a total of three trim levels: S1 Air, S1 and S1 Pro. Here’s what all they offer: –

- A 3.5kW rear hub motor powers the Ola S1 Air, while an 8.5kW motor powers the S1 and S1 Pro. And so, the S1 Air takes a little extra time to do nought to 40 km/h sprint. The gradeability is another major difference, which can vastly impact your overall riding experience.
- Since the Ola S1 Air gets a smaller battery pack, it offers almost half of the range of the S1 Pro.
- Being a range-topping variant, the Ola S1 Pro also receives an additional riding mode (hyper) and a higher top speed.

In comparison with its elder siblings, there’s a slight difference in S1 Air’s length, width & height. It is also lighter by up to 26 kg due to its smaller battery pack. Its boot space is also 2 litres small.

Design and Color Options
The Ola electric scooter has the same sleek, elegant design in all three variants, with a robot-like headlamp for a human-like touch. However, the base-spec S1 model features a flat floorboard instead of the upper model’s banana-shaped model. It also gets a traditional tubular metal grabrail and black-coloured panels on its lower half section. The S1 and S1 Pro, however, are equipped with premium-looking split-cast aluminium grab handles and full-colour panels.
For the Ola S1 Pro, you can choose from eleven colour schemes, whereas the Ola S1 Air and S1 come in five shades. These include: –
